Here Today

Here's something for the true philosophical thinkers. A couple people may have already seen this.

Do not be fooled. Today is not the first day of the rest of your life. It cannot be, for in today’s perspective, there is no “rest of your life”. However, yesterday was truly the last day of the first part of your life.
It is now gone.
It is now dead.

There is no future, for the future has no existence.
There is no experience of tomorrow, because at this moment tomorrow has no reality.
When tomorrow comes, when it has experience, when it has reality, it will no longer be tomorrow, but today. It will no longer be your future, but your present.
When tomorrow passes, it becomes your past. It is then gone. It is then dead.
All you are, all you have ever been, is wrapped up into today.
Happiness.
Sorrow.
Joy.
Fear.
Everything.

You are you, here today.
There is no yesterday, for that is dead.
There is no tomorrow, for that has no reality.
There is you, here today.

Whether you like who you are or you do not; whether you are happy or you are not;
There is no one, or no time, to hold accountable.
There is no one, or no time, to blame.
There is you, here today.

Release the baggage. Release yesterday.
Do not wait for tomorrow.
Be you, here today.
Be happy.

  1. Hey Kevin,

Have you been drinking? How does this apply to time travel?

    Your, almost sister-in-law (=

  2. Hey Justine,

No, I have not been drinking, have you? Who said this has anything to do with time travel?

  3. As a matter of fact yes I had a beer. No one said it had anything to do with time travel just thought it's an interesting concept. One thing about the present...we can't even say today is the present because the present can only be the second we're in anything before or beyond that is no longer the present. Right?

You are the thought provoking one aren't you! (=

  4. Quite impressive. You are exactly right. The "present" is technically an infintesimal point in time that continues to move. For simplicity I refered to a whole day as our present just because our minds tend to work that way, but in truth it is a continuous sreies of fleeting moments. I like when you drink beer.

  5. Hey Justine, thanks for signing up as a follower, but I notice you don't have a picture. Is that intentional?

  6. I don't have a picture up because I don't have any idea how to put one there.
